A rotating magnetic field rangefinder for measuring relative distance between drilling wells, includes a permanent magnet, underground detectors and ground interface box, wherein the permanent magnet drill collar is composed of a permanent magnet drill collar body, and a plurality of permanent magnets inside the said body, the said permanent magnet is fixed to the rear end of the said drill collar to form rotating magnetic field short section, rotating with the drilling bit together to generate rotating magnetic field for provide a magnetic field source.

Build 3D images of square sum of each component of the magnetic field at fluxgate, or square sum of two components of the magnetic field at each position, or other operation results of some components of six magnetic fields and bit tilt angle and the depth at each position.
